You would be our first nurse, helping set the standard of care.
What you would be doing
Hearthline is a new home care agency preparing to serve families across Bergen County. New Jersey requires every agency to have a Registered Nurse overseeing clinical care, and that is the person we are looking for.
- Complete the initial nursing assessment in the client's home before care begins
- Write and update the plan of care, in partnership with the family
- Make supervisory visits to observe our home health aides and give feedback
- Review aide documentation and visit notes for accuracy and completeness
- Be available by phone for clinical questions as they come up
- Help us keep our clinical policies current as New Jersey requirements evolve
What New Jersey asks for
The state sets a specific experience requirement for the supervising nurse. If you are not certain whether your background qualifies, please reach out anyway — we are glad to talk it through with you.
- Active New Jersey RN license in good standing
- BSN with two years of combined public health nursing experience, or an RN license with three years
- Reliable transportation for home visits across Bergen County
- Prior home care, home health, hospice, or visiting nurse experience(a plus, not required)
- Experience supervising home health aides or CNAs(a plus, not required)
Competitive market-rate hourly compensation, plus mileage reimbursement for travel between visits. We are happy to discuss specifics on a first call.
